Barcode + MRZ OCR Module for Passport & ID Scanning | Embedded Data Capture Engine N670-OCR
Designed for systems that require both barcode scanning and MRZ OCR.
This module extracts structured identity data from passports and ID cards,
while decoding 1D/2D barcodes — all within one unified pipeline.
Key Advantages:
- Barcode + MRZ OCR in one module
- No need for separate OCR engine
- Built-in MRZ parsing and checksum validation
- Structured output (not just raw text)
- Reduces system integration complexity
Barcode + MRZ OCR Module for Passport & ID Scanning | Embedded Data Capture Engine N670-OCR
Applications:
– Passport scanning kiosks
– Hotel self check-in systems
– Access control terminals
– Identity verification devices
Instead of using multiple modules (barcode + OCR),
this module processes everything in one pipeline.
This helps:
– eliminate engine switching
– reduce firmware complexity
– standardize output format
Note:
This module is optimized for MRZ recognition only.
It does NOT support general-purpose OCR.
Model Selection Guide:
